The best season is now upon us. Can you guess? It’s FALL! This post is so autumnal that you’ll throw up a jack-o-lantern onto your table- along with a pumpkin spiced latte, and maybe a few red leaves. Jokes aside, Fall is my favorite season. In Utah, where I’m from, Fall lasts about a month until the dreaded wind blows a bunch of snow to the ground. Once the temperature drops everyone whips out their autumnal candles and cozy sweaters. If your sitting there wondering why Fall is the best, let me refresh your memory.
The leaves change into beautiful colors making everything seem magical. The big majestic Rocky Mountains surround me and for over a month they are covered in yellow, orange and red. Every year we drive up the dusty road and see everything up close. The colors, the fresh air, the scenery, and the trees never get old! Every year I get so excited, and I take too many pictures. 🙂
Once the leaves start dying and the air gets colder you seem to start preparing for and dreading the winter, right? But, the cold air doesn’t mean autumn is over people! Halloween is another amazing part of the season. (not fun for parents but for the younger ones) Once October comes around I am searching Netflix for those throwback movies like Halloween Town or Hocus Pocus while I carve a pumpkin into a freaking masterpiece. Get your favorite 90’s halloween movie out or an old horror film and cuddle up under a blanket! (I know that’s what I’m going to do!)
Whether you are jumping into a pile of leaves, buying chunky sweaters and candles, or watching Hocus Pocus you should always remember the real meaning of Fall. (not going to explain the real meaning but if you want you can go look it up on google…) It’s a good time to re-start, to break off old habits and make new ones. My advice: Be like the trees and SHAKE IT ALL OFF. Yes, I just used Taylor Swift to make a deep message about Fall..I feel proud yet embarrassed of myself.
